How to make a botanic candle
Handmade botanical candles are an aesthetic way to keep summer in mind. Light a candle on a cold evening, inhale the light fragrance of flowers and feel the warmth in your soul. The candle is handmade in a single copy, which means it is unique.
Materials:
– cement
– plastic bottles of different diameters
– paraffin
– wooden wick
– wick holder
– dried flowers (spikelets, flowers)
Step 1
Mix the mortar (cement + water). Oil the bottom of the bottle with a large diameter. Pour the mortar. Leave it to harden for 24 hours.
Step2
Fill a smaller diameter bottle with water and insert it into the centre (see photo).
Place dried flowers around it.
Step3
On a water bath melt paraffin and pour the space with dried flowers. Leave to harden. After the paraffin hardens, carefully remove the water bottle. Insert the wick in the centre.
Step 4
Melt the rest of the paraffin on a water bath and fill the centre. Leave to harden.
Once set, carefully remove the candle from the mould. Reduce the wick.
The botanical candle is ready.
